Fans Are Right To Criticise Sterling After Chelsea’s Poor Result

Chelsea suffered an embarrassing defeat in the first half of their crucial Premier League clash against Brighton on Saturday afternoon. It was a very poor performance from Graham Potter’s team, and the manager would be really unhappy with the result.

Chelsea didn’t start the game on the front foot as it took them less than six minutes to concede a goal. Trossard gave Brighton the lead with a brilliant strike in the 5th minute to put Chelsea under great pressure.

Things got even worse for Chelsea before the half-hour mark as Loftus-Cheek scored an own-goal to double the lead for the home team.

Chalobah scored another own-goal before the end of the first half to put Chelsea in a pretty difficult situation.

Fans were quick to criticise Raheem Sterling for his disgraceful performance in the first half. The talented attacker was by far Chelsea’s most unproductive player in the game against Brighton. Check out fans’ tweets after Sterling’s poor display in the first half of today’s game against Brighton:

I guess Chelsea fans are right to criticise Sterling after Chelsea’s poor result in the first half because he offered nothing to the team throughout his time on the pitch.

The attacker lost the ball four times, created no chance, had no shot on target, and completed just 0/5 of his attempted dribbles in the first half.
