Arsenal played a game in the English Premier League yesterday when they visited the Elland Road Stadium to face Leeds United. The Gunners might have won the game 1-0 thanks to Bukayo Saka’s first-half goal but they were totally outplayed by a hungry and vibrant Leeds United team. It was obviously Arsenal’s worst performance so far this season as they reduced to having nine men in defense just to prevent Leeds United from getting a goal in the encounter.
Well, I believe Arsenal’s recent display shows it won’t be long before they eventually drop form in the competition. From their impressive win against Liverpool some days ago, we have seen a totally different Arsenal team that looks very blunt offensively and also porous defensively.
They were also outplayed by Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Europa League but managed to seal a narrow 1-0 win in the match. We can see fatigue already catching up with the team’s players as they look exhausted and passive in their recent matches. Well, if they continue like this, the North Londoners might drop form and start losing games surprisingly in all competitions. This is where team rotation comes in as Mikel Arteta should try to rotate his players well and ensure they don’t get fatigued which could definitely affect their performance.
