The Federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari is working hard in making sure Nigeria is free from bribery, fraud and corruption.

One of the ways president Buhari’s administration is using to archive this stated goal is through equipping The Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) with necessary requirements to use in tackling fraud in the country.

Recently, Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Benin Zonal Command, have arrested six suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City, Edo State.

The anti-graft agency made this known in a statement on Friday.

The commission identified the suspects as, Thomas Osigbemen, Kennedy Uwuigbe, Osameda Osazee, Enofe Macaulay, Wilfred Ikhireagie and Osayande Prosper.

They were arrested at their hideout based on actionable intelligence on their alleged criminal activities.

Firstly, Internet fraud should not be encouraged and whoever is caught on the act should be prosecuted because it is against the constitution of the country.

It will Interest you to know that internet fraud need to end in our society so that foreign investors will not be scared to invest in our society.

Secondly, Security Agencies need to end Internet fraud so that the younger generation will not see it as the only means of making it in life. Also, fraud need to end so that the good name Nigeria has made among international bodies will not be in vain.

Thirdly, security operatives should curtail Internet fraud through proper investigation and arresting of any person seen with suspicious fraud materials.

Lastly, I believe if this is considered, it could help to reduce fraud in our society.
