Two Negatives To Take Away From Chelsea’s Performance Against AC Milan.

Chelsea finally bagged their first win of the UEFA Champions League yesterday when they locked horns with AC Milan at the Stamford Bridge Stadium. The Blues looked to have regained their lost form as they performed astonishingly in the match to clinch a 3-0 victory over the Italian Giants. Goals from Reece James, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and Wesley Fofana were enough to hand Chelsea their first three points in the UEFA Champions League this season.

Well, despite Chelsea’s win against AC Milan, there were still a few flaws in their performance that needs to be worked upon urgently. Let’s take a look at two negatives to take away from Chelsea’s performance against AC Milan yesterday.

1, Defenders Are Still Netting Most Of Chelsea’s Goals.

Two Chelsea defenders in Reece James and Wesley Fofana scored yesterday which is a good thing but still doesn’t speak well of the attackers in the team. The Blues have relied unreasonably on their defenders to get goals for them this season which isn’t proper. The Chelsea attackers need to do more as they are the ones who suppose to score most of the team’s goals in matches.

2, Very Little Supplies For Aubameyang On The Attack.

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang was barely fed in the Chelsea team yesterday as he was left stranded upfront with very little supplies in front of goal. The Gabonese International showed his quality by converting the only real opportunity created for him yesterday against AC Milan. I believe Chelsea needs to play to his strength if they want to get the very best from him this season.
