The UCL Group Tables After Matchday Three

The UEFA Champions League third matchday of the season was concluded yesterday after a total of 18 matches went down in the tournament this midweek. Some teams displayed fantastic performances in the competition as they did really well to claim all three points from their respective games.

Well, let’s take a brief look at some matches that were played in the UEFA Champions League this week.

Inter Milan Vs Barcelona.

Barcelona were condemned to another defeat in the UEFA Champions League when they faced Inter Milan at the San Siro Stadium. The Catalans had an unconvincing performance in the match as they were defeated 1-0 by Inter Milan who scored the only goal through Hakan Calhanoglu.

Liverpool Vs Rangers.

Liverpool won their second straight game in the UEFA Champions League this week when they welcomed Rangers to the Anfield Stadium. The Reds had a spectacular performance in the match to claim a convincing 2-0 win over the Scottish side thanks to goals from Trent Alexander-Arnold and Mohamed Salah.

Chelsea Vs AC Milan

When we least expected it Chelsea bagged their first UEFA Champions League win of the season yesterday as they welcomed AC Milan to the Stamford Bridge Stadium. The Blues had a fine performance in the match as they comfortably defeated AC Milan 3-0 thanks to efforts from Reece James, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang, and Wesley Fofana.

Real Madrid Vs Shakhtar Donetsk

It was the Los Blancos’ third win of the Champions League this season when they faced Shakhtar Donetsk at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium. The Spanish Giants were on fire in the match as they sealed a narrow 2-1 win over Shakhtar Donetsk thanks to goals from Rodrygo and Vinicius Jnr.
